Maple Go is a dating app for adults aged 18 and over. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, sextortion, trafficking, and any sexualization of minors. This page sets out the standards we apply and how to reach us.
Adults only
- Everyone must enter their date of birth when signing up. Anyone under 18 cannot create an account, and our database rules reject profiles under 18.
- New members complete a live face check, and their profile photos are matched against it, so every verified profile belongs to a real adult who took that check.
- On Google Play, Maple Go is rated for adults and set to block users that Google has determined to be minors.
- Our Terms of Service forbid minors from using Maple Go, and forbid any content or conduct that sexualizes, endangers, or exploits a child.
Prevention
- Every uploaded photo is scanned automatically for nudity and other unsafe content before anyone else can see it. Photos that fail are never shown.
- Chats are only possible between two members who have both liked each other. Messages are scanned for common scam and off-platform patterns, and outside contact details are hidden for new accounts.
- Phone numbers of banned accounts are blocked from signing up again.
Reporting in the app
Any member can open a profile or chat and tap “Report and block”. Reasons include “May be under 18” and “Inappropriate content”. The reported person is blocked immediately, and our team reviews every report, prioritizing reports that involve a possible minor or child safety.
You can also email us at taifammapplego@gmail.com with the subject “Child safety report”. You do not need a Maple Go account to report.
What we do when we find CSAE
- We remove the content and permanently ban the account and its phone number.
- We preserve the relevant information as required by law so it can be provided to the authorities.
- We report apparent child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) through its CyberTipline, and to the relevant regional and national law enforcement authorities where the people involved are located.
- We cooperate with valid requests from law enforcement.
If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local police or emergency number first.
Compliance
Maple Go complies with applicable child safety laws in the countries where it is available, and with the child safety standards of the Google Play and Apple App Store platforms.
Child safety contact
Our designated point of contact for child safety and CSAM prevention is Chun Shen Tai, operator of Maple Go: taifammapplego@gmail.com.
